How Sellopod uses Amazon data

When you connect your Amazon seller account or your Amazon Ads account, Sellopod reads the data listed on this page. Below is what that data is, what it's used for, where it goes and how long it's kept.

Questions about your data: email support@sellopod.com.

Amazon seller data Sellopod reads

When you connect your Amazon seller account, Sellopod requests this data through Amazon's Selling Partner API:

  • Orders
  • Financial events, such as fees, promotions and refunds
  • Settlement reports
  • Inventory ledger and FBA inventory
  • Fulfillment and removal-order reports
  • Inbound shipments
  • Listings and listing content
  • Sales and Traffic reports
  • Brand Analytics search query performance and search terms
  • Customer Feedback review topics
  • Category benchmarks
  • Subscribe and Save metrics

This list says what Sellopod can access. It doesn't mean each item appears as a report in your account.

Amazon Ads data Sellopod reads

When you connect your Amazon Ads account, Sellopod requests this data through Amazon's Ads API:

  • Advertising profiles: the Amazon Ads accounts you authorize
  • Campaign lists
  • Campaign structure: ad groups, ads, keywords, negative keywords and targets, including Sponsored Display campaigns, ad groups and ads
  • Campaign performance: spend, attributed sales, clicks, impressions and purchases
  • Sponsored Products search-term reports
  • Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands placement reports
  • Amazon Marketing Cloud query results, used to fill in past campaign performance

Sellopod reads your Amazon Ads data and does not change your campaigns, bids or budgets.

What it's used for

Sellopod uses this data to show stock, sales, profit and Amazon Ads reporting to the seller who connected the account:

  • Stock. Sellopod tracks stock levels per warehouse (Amazon FBA, 3PL and your own), stock movements, transfers between warehouses, purchase orders to suppliers and the monthly forecasts you enter, in one place.
  • Amazon Ads reporting. Sellopod imports Amazon Ads campaign performance (spend, attributed sales, clicks, impressions, purchases) every day through Amazon's Ads reporting API.
  • Sales and profit. Sellopod shows your Amazon Ads spend and sales next to your sales and stock, and includes Amazon Ads spend in each product's profit.

Where it goes

In your Sellopod account. Your Amazon data is shown in your Sellopod account, next to your sales and stock from your other channels.

To Sellopod's AI providers, when you use AI features in the app. When you use an AI feature inside Sellopod, such as asking the AI assistant a question, Sellopod sends your request and the account data needed to answer it, which can include your Amazon data, to the AI providers Sellopod uses. By default the assistant uses Anthropic.

Through MCP, if you connect an MCP client. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard Claude and other AI tools use to connect to outside data. Sellopod has a read-only MCP server: an MCP client such as Claude connects to your Sellopod account over OAuth and can query your organization's data without changing it. That includes your Amazon Ads campaign, search-term and placement data, together with the rest of your Sellopod data.

When you use Sellopod through MCP, the AI client and AI provider are your own; Sellopod's MCP server does not call an AI model.
