Profit

Product profit that includes your Amazon Ads spend.

Sellopod includes your Amazon Ads spend in each product's profit, after the Amazon fees and refunds it imports, and shows it next to the product's sales and stock. Product costs for Amazon orders aren't included.

Ad spend belongs in the product's profit

A product can look profitable until you take off what you spent advertising it. In Sellopod, that spend is already in the number.

Your Amazon Ads campaign performance is imported every day, and the spend is included in product profit. The same account tracks each product's stock in every warehouse (Amazon FBA, your 3PL and your own) and its open purchase orders, so profit, ad spend and stock sit side by side.

What goes into the number

For each product, Sellopod takes its sales and subtracts:

  • Amazon fees, imported from Amazon once your seller account is connected
  • refunds from your connected stores
  • promotions and shipping on each order
  • your ad spend (see below for how it's split across products)

Two things aren't in the per-product figure. Product costs for Amazon orders aren't included, so for Amazon sales it's profit before the cost of the goods themselves. And fees from channels other than Amazon, such as Walmart, WooCommerce and TikTok Shop, aren't deducted.

How ad spend is split across products

Amazon reports Sponsored Products spend for each advertised product, so Sellopod charges that spend to the product it was spent on.

Spend that Amazon doesn't split by product, such as Sponsored Brands, is shared across your products by their share of sales. If you connect Facebook Ads or Google Ads, that spend is shared the same way when you look at all your stores together.

When a product's ad cost comes only from that sharing, Sellopod marks it as estimated.
